Keeping Up With K

Sophia Gonzalez

This month, Mr. K answers our most burning questions about Valentine’s Day. Thanks, Mr. K!

  1. Is Valentine’s Day more for men or women?
    1. I feel it is advertised as more geared towards women to be honest, but that isn’t to say everyone who celebrates it treats it that way. In today’s world, I feel Valentine’s Day is celebrated much differently than it used to be in the past.
  2. Is Valentine’s Day more about romantic love or can other love be celebrated?
    1. Love is a very encompassing word, and is much more of an emotion than just a word, meaning it can be expressed in innumerable ways, and anyone can be a recipient.
  3. Is Valentine’s Day the most romantic day of the year?
    1. I think it certainly has the potential to be, but personally, I don’t think so. I think a day someone has a specific or personal connection which is more meaningful, such as an anniversary.
  4. How should a single person spend Valentine’s Day?
    1. I think it depends on the person. A single person could treat themselves to candy, watch a happy/uplifting movie, or spend time with family/loved ones. Either way, they should do something that makes them feel wholesome.
  5. What color is love?
    1. Red certainly comes to mind, as red is the color of passion. Although love could also be associated with other shades of red or pink or it could simply be a person’s favorite color.
