Keeping Up With K
March 2, 2022
This month, Mr. K answers our most burning questions about Valentine’s Day. Thanks, Mr. K!
- Is Valentine’s Day more for men or women?
- I feel it is advertised as more geared towards women to be honest, but that isn’t to say everyone who celebrates it treats it that way. In today’s world, I feel Valentine’s Day is celebrated much differently than it used to be in the past.
- Is Valentine’s Day more about romantic love or can other love be celebrated?
- Love is a very encompassing word, and is much more of an emotion than just a word, meaning it can be expressed in innumerable ways, and anyone can be a recipient.
- Is Valentine’s Day the most romantic day of the year?
- I think it certainly has the potential to be, but personally, I don’t think so. I think a day someone has a specific or personal connection which is more meaningful, such as an anniversary.
- How should a single person spend Valentine’s Day?
- I think it depends on the person. A single person could treat themselves to candy, watch a happy/uplifting movie, or spend time with family/loved ones. Either way, they should do something that makes them feel wholesome.
- What color is love?
- Red certainly comes to mind, as red is the color of passion. Although love could also be associated with other shades of red or pink or it could simply be a person’s favorite color.
